What this is

Youlection runs pop-up mock elections for fun. Anyone can ask a question, anyone with the link can vote, and the results stay sealed until the polls close.

Results here are not scientific. Votes are tied to a browser and a network rather than to a verified person, so nothing on this site is a reliable measure of public opinion and nothing on it predicts a real election. Youlection is not affiliated with any government, election authority, political party or campaign. If you are looking for real voting information, vote.gov has it.

Using the site

You must be at least 13 years old to use Youlection.

Use it as a reasonable person would. Do not try to stuff a ballot box, break the limits, scrape the site, overload it, or get at anything you were not given a link to.

What you may post

You are responsible for the questions and candidates you create. Keep them within these rules:

Polls are screened automatically against these rules, and anyone can report one. A poll may be held for review or taken down at any time, for any reason, without notice — including simply because it looks wrong. There is no appeal process; this is a small site run by one person.

Your content

What you write stays yours. By creating a poll you give Youlection permission to display it, include it in results, and show it in the share images the site generates, for as long as the poll exists. A public poll is visible to anyone; a private poll is left off the public list but is readable by anyone holding the link, so treat the link as the only thing keeping it private.

Since there are no accounts, there is no way to prove a poll was yours. Keep your own link if you want to come back to it.

What is and isn't promised

Youlection is free and provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. It may be slow, it may be down, polls and results may be lost, and the whole thing may change or stop existing without warning. Do not use it for anything that matters — not for decisions with money, health, safety or legal consequences attached.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Youlection and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from using the site or relying on anything found on it.

Changes, law and contact

These terms may change; the date at the top will change with them, and continuing to use the site means the new version applies. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA.
